This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the mobile application Cloud Storage: Backup & Restore, developed and operated by Vertex Forge Apps.

The app allows users to back up, store, manage, and restore personal files such as photos, videos, documents, audio files, and contacts using cloud storage.

1. Introduction

We respect your privacy and aim to be transparent about the information required to operate the app. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, how it is protected, how long it is retained, and the choices available to you.

5. File Uploads & Cloud Storage

Photos, videos, documents, audio files, contacts, and other supported content are uploaded to cloud storage only when you choose to back them up or enable a backup feature that you have expressly configured.

We do not use the contents of your uploaded files for advertising, profiling, or unrelated analytics. We do not routinely view, listen to, or analyze the contents of user files.

What We Do Not Collect or Do

• We do not record audio through your microphone.
• We do not record phone calls.
• We do not access or upload files without the permissions and backup choices you provide within the app.
• We do not sell the contents of your cloud backups.

6. Advertising & Analytics

The app may display advertisements through third-party advertising services such as Google AdMob and Meta Ads.

Advertising and analytics providers may process limited device information, advertising identifiers, app interaction data, and basic device signals for purposes such as ad delivery, frequency control, measurement, fraud prevention, and performance analysis.

Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your region, consent choices, device settings, and applicable law. Vertex Forge Apps does not sell your personal data.

7. Children’s Privacy

Cloud Storage: Backup & Restore is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Email Communications

We may use your registered email address to send essential, non-promotional communications relating to your account or the operation of the app. These may include signup confirmations, trial-expiration notices, data-retention reminders, security notices, service updates, and account-deletion confirmations.

We do not use these transactional emails to send unsolicited marketing messages.

9. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only where reasonably necessary to operate the app, provide cloud storage and authentication, send transactional communications, display or measure advertisements, maintain security, or comply with legal obligations.

Service providers are expected to process information only for the services they provide and subject to their own contractual and legal obligations.

• Google Firebase — authentication, cloud messaging, crash reporting, and related app infrastructure.

11. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect user information and cloud-stored content. These measures include:

• Encryption in transit using HTTPS and secure network protocols.
• Encryption at rest on supported cloud infrastructure.
• Restricted access controls for production systems and stored data.
• Authentication and authorization controls used to separate user accounts.

No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to reduce unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration of user information.

12. Data Retention & Deletion

Active Accounts

While an account remains active, uploaded files and the metadata required for backup, synchronization, and restore features are retained as necessary to provide the Services.

Free Trial Accounts

• The free trial period is 30 days.
• Users may upload and store supported data during the trial period.
• When the trial expires, access to certain backup or restore functionality may be restricted until the user upgrades or deletes the account.
• Stored data may remain available during the post-trial retention period so the user has an opportunity to upgrade or delete the account manually.

Expired Free Accounts

• If no paid plan is activated, the account enters a post-trial retention period.
• We may send notifications to the registered email address informing the user that the trial has expired and that deletion is approaching.
• If the account is still on the free plan at the end of the 90-day post-trial period, the account and associated stored data may be permanently deleted automatically.

Paid Accounts

• Paid accounts are not automatically deleted under the expired-free-trial retention rule.
• While the paid plan remains active, user files and account data remain stored to provide the subscribed service.
• A paid user may still delete the account manually from within the app at any time.

Manual Account Deletion

Users may delete their account from within the app. When an account-deletion request is completed:

• Uploaded files and cloud backups are permanently deleted.
• Associated backup metadata and account information are removed.
• Authentication records associated with the account are deleted.
• The deletion is irreversible and the deleted content cannot be restored.

Retention After Deletion

We do not retain backup copies of deleted user files or deleted account content. Limited records may be retained only where required by applicable law, fraud prevention, security obligations, dispute resolution, or enforcement of legal rights.

13. Your Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

• Access personal information associated with your account.
• Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
• Delete your account and associated data.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
• Request a copy or export of your information where legally required and technically available.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of Cloud Storage: Backup & Restore and other applicable digital services provided by Vertex Forge Apps.

1. Acceptance and Use of the Services

By installing, accessing, creating an account for, or using our applications, websites, or related digital services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the Services and should remove the applicable app from your device.

Permitted Use

You may use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not attempt to interfere with, reverse engineer, misuse, abuse, overload, bypass security controls, or gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services or another user's account or data.

2. Suspension, Restriction & Termination

Vertex Forge Apps may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Services where reasonably necessary, including where:

• You materially violate these Terms.
• You misuse, interfere with, or attempt to compromise the Services.
• We detect fraud, abuse, unauthorized activity, or a security risk.
• We are required to do so by law or a valid legal process.
• We discontinue or materially change a Service.

Where appropriate and reasonably practicable, we may provide notice before taking action. Termination does not affect rights or obligations that accrued before termination.

3. Privacy, Permissions & User Content

Personal information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy above. Certain features require device permissions, such as access to files, media, contacts, or notifications. If you decline or disable a required permission, the relevant feature may not function.

You retain ownership of the files and content you upload. You grant Vertex Forge Apps only the limited rights necessary to store, transmit, process, organize, and return that content for the purpose of providing the Services you request.

4. Free Trial, Paid Plans & Account Retention

Cloud Storage: Backup & Restore may offer a 30-day free trial. After the trial ends, certain features may be restricted unless the user activates a paid plan.

If an account remains on the free plan after trial expiration, the account and associated stored data are subject to the retention and deletion rules described in the Privacy Policy above. Under the current policy, a free-plan account that is not upgraded may be permanently deleted 90 days after the free trial ends.

Paid-plan accounts are not subject to this automatic 90-day deletion rule. While a paid plan remains active, stored data continues to be retained to provide the subscribed service unless the user chooses to delete the account or deletion is otherwise required by law.

5. Intellectual Property

The Services, including the Vertex Forge Apps name, logos, app designs, graphics, interfaces, software, source code, and other proprietary materials, are owned by Vertex Forge Apps or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except where expressly permitted by law, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, license, modify, publish, or create derivative works from our proprietary materials without prior written permission.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

Vertex Forge Apps does not guarantee that:

• The Services will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
• Every defect or compatibility issue will be corrected immediately.
• The Services will meet every device, network, or user requirement.
• Data transmission or cloud services will be completely free from interruption or security risk.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Vertex Forge Apps will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, or data arising from or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Services.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability will be limited to the amount you paid to Vertex Forge Apps for the relevant Service during the period giving rise to the claim, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

8. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Vertex Forge Apps harmless from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful misuse of the Services, material violation of these Terms, or infringement of a third party's rights.

9. Third-Party Services

Some features depend on third-party platforms or infrastructure, including cloud hosting, authentication, analytics, advertising, app stores, and email providers. Those third-party services may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies.

Vertex Forge Apps is not responsible for the independent operation, availability, or policies of third-party services outside our control.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Subject to any mandatory rights available under applicable consumer law, disputes arising from these Terms or the Services will be subject to the courts of Lahore, Pakistan.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our Services, business practices, or legal requirements. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised date.

Continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
